Publishers are cramming releases in before GTA 6 arrives on Nov 19. Dates can move, so this is accurate as of Oct 16 2026.

This week

Next week

Final Fantasy Resonance (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Switch, Switch 2, Oct 22). It’s a new 2D Final Fantasy tactical RPG.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Oct 23). It drops PS4 and Xbox One support and isn’t on Game Pass at launch. A Switch 2 version is announced, but reports differ on whether it’s day one.

End of October

Phantom Blade Zero (PS5, PC, Oct 29). This wuxia action RPG already slipped once, from Sept 9.

Early November

World of Warcraft: Forever (PC, Nov 4). It’s a classic-style take on WoW, and an active subscription or game time covers it.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Switch 2, Nov 5). It’s a remake of the N64 game and is Switch 2 only.

Metaphor: ReFantazio (Switch 2, Nov 12). Atlus’ 2024 RPG comes to Switch 2.

A note for a computer from 2017

My computer from 2017 can’t run new games, so I’m sitting this rush out. Most of the list is console-only anyway. I’ll keep playing older, lighter games.
