Q1 2027

Metroid Ravenous (Switch 2, Jan 28). It’s Nintendo’s first new 2D Metroid since Metroid Dread, revealed in the Sept 9 Direct.

February’s big five (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and more, Feb 4 to Feb 23). Metro 2039, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, God of War Laufey, Persona 4 Revival and Fable all have February dates. I’m covering them in a separate post.

Lords of the Fallen II (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, PC, Q1 2027). CI Games moved it from fall 2026, and there’s no exact date yet.

Spring 2027

Exodus (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Apr 7). It’s a sci-fi RPG from Archetype Entertainment, a studio founded by former BioWare developers.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, PC, Apr 8). It closes out the remake trilogy and launches on every platform at once.

Kirby and the World Beyond (Switch 2, spring 2027). It’s a 3D Kirby game shown in the Sept 9 Direct, with no exact date.

Sometime in 2027

Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves (Switch 2, 2027). Both are Switch 2 exclusives with an open world and a new region. There’s no month yet.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, 2027 at the earliest). Amy Hennig’s game has already slipped from 2025 and then early 2026, and it has no date.

Not 2027

The Witcher 4 (platforms TBA, 2028 target). CD Projekt Red says it’s targeting 2028, so don’t plan around it.

A note for a computer from 2017

My computer from 2017 can’t run new games, so most of this list is a no. The Switch 2 and PlayStation games are out entirely, and I’ll keep playing older, lighter stuff.
